Part III: The final boundaries - Minor changes

Minor changes

  1. The EBC has adjusted proposed district boundaries in several areas so that they are clearer:
    • Eildon/Euroa boundary: The proposed boundary between the new Eildon and Euroa districts followed SA1s, and as a result it diverged in four places (Flowerdale, Tarcombe, Ruffy and Samaria-Archerton) from local government boundaries. The EBC has aligned the district boundary to the local government boundaries, reallocating 41 electors from Eildon to Euroa and 3 electors from Euroa to Eildon;
    • Heyfield: Similarly, the proposed boundary between Gippsland East and Gippsland South districts followed SA1s, with the result that the proposed Gippsland East district included 6 Gippsland South electors from the south side of the Thomson River at Heyfield. These electors have been returned to Gippsland South district;
    • Warrandyte North: The boundary between Warrandyte and Eildon districts has been shifted from Pigeon Bank Road to the Warrandyte North locality boundary, transferring 12 electors to Warrandyte district;
    • Wonga Park: The boundary between Warrandyte and Evelyn districts has been aligned to follow Black Springs Road instead of an SA1 boundary, reallocating 2 electors to Evelyn district;
    • Delahey: The Radio Australia land at the north-western corner of St Albans district has been transferred to Sydenham district, uniting the suburb of Delahey and following clearer boundaries, though not affecting any electors;
    • Strathmore Heights: The northern end of the boundary between Niddrie and Essendon districts has been shifted from the freeway exit ramp to the freeway centre line, transferring 20 electors to Niddrie district;
    • Boronia: The eastern end of the boundary between Bayswater and Ferntree Gully districts has been shifted from an SA1 to a locality boundary, transferring 3 electors to Ferntree Gully district;
    • Dandenong South: The eastern end of the boundary between Dandenong and Carrum districts has been shifted from a property boundary to Taylors and Bayliss Roads, transferring the Lyndhurst landfill site but not affecting any electors;
    • Bunyip State Park: The boundary in the Bunyip State Park between Gembrook and Narracan districts has been shifted from an SA1 to bush roads, not affecting any electors;
    • Ballangeich: The boundary between South-West Coast and Polwarth districts has been aligned to follow the Hopkins Highway instead of an SA1 boundary, shifting 2 electors to Polwarth district;
    • Modella: The boundary between Bass and Narracan districts has been shifted from a locality boundary to the Cardinia-Baw Baw local government boundary, not affecting any electors;
    • Mywee: The northern end of the boundary between Shepparton and Ovens Valley districts follows the Mywee-Koonoomoo locality boundary, and runs through an apparent camping ground. The boundary has been shifted to follow a property boundary, without affecting any electors.
